KidShield · Coming soon · A Villagely sub-product

Their first phone doesn't have to connect them to 4 billion strangers.

KidShield turns a kid's first phone into something that only connects them to you, your group, and their actual friends. No browser. No app store. No Instagram. Just big buttons with their friends' faces — and a GPS dot on your screen.

No browser. No app store. No Instagram.

If you didn't approve it, it isn't on the phone. That's the entire operating principle.

How it works

KidShield is in development — this is how it works at launch:

1

You set the contacts

Add their approved contacts in Villagely — grandparents, you, the three friends from their class.

2

KidShield syncs the list

Only those faces appear on the phone. No search. No "suggested friends." No way to add a stranger.

3

They tap to talk. You see where they are.

Big buttons with friends' faces. You get a GPS dot on your screen. Messages auto-delete after 7 days.

Big buttons. Friends' faces. A GPS dot on your screen.

A first phone that does exactly what a first phone should — and nothing else.

Works with the phone you already have

Android

KidShield replaces the home screen entirely. The browser, the Play Store, and every other app are gone. Just the people you approved.

iPhone

KidShield uses Guided Access mode — we'll walk you through the 2-minute setup so the phone locks to KidShield and nothing else.

Built on the Villagely trust layer
